Jack: 7 Months

I'm BEYOND tired, it's been a long weekend and I have run out of energy for this post but I do want to share some random pics and stories from this month.

Jack's "firsts" this month include:
  • sleeping without a swaddle
  • sleeping consistently through the night on his belly
  • sitting up in his own
  • eating more and more food (squash, sweet potato, banana, avocado, apple(sauce), rice cereal, oatmeal)
  • Jack throwing up and getting sick :(
  • Jack's first urgent care visit :(
  • Jack's first two teeth! :)
  • Family photo shoot
  • Target catalogue casting call (I know...I know...we were invited to do it from an "insider" friend)
  • floating in the creek at the cabin
  • I'm sure there is more but I almost just fell asleep

Look at me!  I'm trying to get better at sitting up!
Jack seriously is so chill and generally seems to prefer just relaxing and NOT MOVING much at all.
He has gotten a tad bit more mobile this month and more interested in moving but overall...he'd rather just lay in one spot and watch the world go by :)

You'd have to look really hard but Jack got his first two bottom teeth this month...roughly the same time Mia got her first two as well.  Since then..he has been more of a drooling machine and really wants to grind anything and everything he can get in to his mouth.

Earlier this month were some of the last few days using a swaddle for Jack.  We started by leaving his arms out...and then basically called it quits especially when it was clear he would not stay in one spot anymore or sleep on his back all night.

Can you believe this was how he looked when we took him to urgent care?!  SOOOOOO many illnesses go through his day care and Mia has usually been the last one standing...but Jack finally got sick and threw up a couple of times while also having liquid diarrhea; therefore, we were advised to have him checked out just to make sure he wasn't dehydrated...which he wasn't.  He was totally fine but we were told to ease him slowly back on formula and solids...so for several days sprinkled throughout the month, we held off of solid foods and formula to try and get him "back to normal".

Nerd Alert!
If he had grey curly hair, I would call him Pearl.

Jack is SUPER in to watching his big sister, Mia.  He loves smiling at her and basically anyone who is around him.  He totally thinks she is funny and is no doubt going to try date her friends one day.

Hi guys...we're just going for a walk :)

Walking around Como Lake one gorgeous day this month

After a long hot day...Jack went form this...

...to this :)

Jack's first "Music in the Park" at Lake Harriet.  That afternoon, we had a picnic, relaxed by the beach, listened to music, watched the ducks and drove around looking for dream houses.

Jack has a big boy spot at the dinner table now :)

Snuggle time on the pontoon at the Osceola cabin

Took him a second to calm down, but once he recovered from the shock of cold water, he LOVED it :)

Next up:....Jack's first airplane rides and trip to DISNEY WORLD with Nana, Papa, mom, dad and Mia :) Weeeee!!!!!!
